The Peralta Sail and Power Squadron offers a wide range of Educational courses aimed at improving the boating skills and making our boating experiences safer and more enjoyable. Courses are offered in three convenient locations: San Leandro, San Mateo and Benicia.

Two different courses are made available to the general public throughout the year as well as a number of advanced courses for our members. The first course in the series the Basic Boating Course, a course designed for all types of boating enthusiasts. The Basic Boating Course gives students a strong foundation to build upon as they continue their boating education. The Basic Boating Course is offered free of charge except for a nominal charge for the student text.
